How to Prepare Yourself for Patch Days
<aside>
Patch Days sound scary but they don’t have to be! Here are some Tips to help you get through it a little easier.

Let’s start with a checklist!

:cliplist: Checklist
<aside>
- [ ] Have an organized Mod Folder - Check here to figure out how!
- [ ] Have a spreadsheet or mod checklist ready to go!
- [ ] Make a new folder on your desktop or somewhere safe to put freshly updated mods into - many find it easier to collect them into a folder and then update in one go.
- [ ] Double check your Patch Day folder and make sure there’s no old mods in it! The last thing you need are duplicate mods!
- [ ] Back up any Saves, Screenshots, Videos, Trays & Settings Files
Such as mc_settings.cfg so that you don’t have to redo them in game.
- [ ] Delete “L” Files after updating mods, before opening the game
What are these? They are your cache files & Error Report Files:
avatarcache.package + localthumbcache.package
Any last exception txt and/or mc_lastexeption.html files
- [ ] Do any game repairs BEFORE you plan to play offline!
Repairing the game will update it at the same time!!
Installing any DLC will also update your game!
